Blue People Avatar is pushing it on their distinction with Good Avatar with these elemental names.

This one might flop. I feel like people gave the second the benefit of the doubt, but they won't be fooled twice.

The first two also succeeded because they’re hyped up as kinda “landmark” movies that you must see.

What helped with that was the long gaps in between films, but I really don’t think people are interested in seeing another Avatar film within 3 years of the last.

It just feels like “another movie” and nothing significant. I never even got around to watching the second tbh.

I don’t think I’ve ever met someone who would honestly say they actually like the Avatar films. They’re alright.

I really enjoy them and looking forward to this third one but my interest is waning. Wasn't terribly excited for the second but saw it in theaters and man it was incredible. The whole point of these movies and why they are landmark films is the budgets and technology available and implemented into them. Stories aren't breaking any ground but they're not trying to, that's not the point.

Why do you assume anyone was fooled? I went to see Avatar 2 because I liked the first one and I can already tell you I'll be in line to watch the next one when it releases.

For real. You can't become the third highest grossing movie of all time by fooling people.

And the "Fire and Ash" = spoiler.
I know where this is going..

And that it will take a long time to get there.

I know I won't watch it theatres and might not even on streaming.

I think a crossover with the Aliens franchise would be fun to watch.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 month ago

I’d watch that crossover.

Everyone knew the second one was more of the same and it still crushed box office records. These are pretty much guaranteed money makers.

I only saw 2 to trip balls on mushrooms. It was still bad storyline wise

Avatar: Crash and Burn

I feel like I've already seen the movie just by reading the title, at least if the plot is as simple as the first one. Never saw the second one.

[–] [email protected] 20 points 1 month ago

you actually have seen the second one, because it's somehow the same movie as the first one but wetter

Avatar: Hot Air and Ass

He’s titling these like DLC. Which is apt, as they’re introducing new biomes and factions.
