A wild time to be a a citizen of the USA. No matter what the verdict is I expect large portions of the US to announce it was rigged somehow. And all because trump couldn't just jerk it to porn like normal people.

“They used facts and wouldn’t let Trump lie in his own defense! SHAM TRIAL!!”

i half expect a hung jury. there's bound to be one maga on the jury that won't budge.

According to reporting on the jury selection process, one of the jurors reported that their primary news source was Truth Social... so it's a distinct possibility. In the case of a lone holdout, though, the judge and the rest of the jury are both likely to lean hard on them to get with the program.

That seems like something that should disqualify them from being on the jury.

"Yeah I only get my news from the criminal's website called truth where they post a bunch of lies constantly."

They can just be replaced by an alternate if they refuse jury instructions.

I was going to say so, but the NY state code requires the defense to assent to the replacement of an unfit juror, and we all know damn well that they won't do that.

Definitely possible.

Following the live coverage so far, it seems like Blanche is just regurgitating the same thing over and over and over: Cohen is a liar, Trump and Daniels never had sex, and everyone in his organization was actually out to get him the entire time. He seems especially fixated on the fact that Cohen is a liar, which everybody knew about already. Let's be realistic: Every member of that jury had already decided whether or not to believe Cohen's testimony long before he even took the stand. I'm not entirely sure what reminding them that he's a liar over and over is expected to accomplish at this point.
