I wonder what my fellow lemmygoers think about the new Notesnook updates, privacy and security-wise.

Too expensive. 50/yr for that? :/

I've been perfectly satisfied with the free option. It's quite limited, but I don‘t have a need for many notebooks, or tags or whatever fanciness there is.

Is it really limited though? I’m testing it to replace some non-important notes and haven’t noticed anything.

Well, considering you get unlimited notes, no. I'm not sure whether you can upload pics for free?

Hadn't heard of this. Looks pretty neat, but my current workflow is to keep brief notes on my phone and anything longer I tend to prefer working with documents and sync everything with free version of Resilio sync. Always cautious about these kinds of changes to workflow since they can go down or get enshitified thus forcing a painful change in habits. I wish the project well though - I like that so far at least it looks like it's not trying to do too much all at once.
