It can be a bit expensive, but I’m okay with it if it adds another instance choice for people. Switching over to object storage was an absolute lifesaver.

A single user instance, expensive? I'm using a hosted VPS with 1 vCPU, 2 Go RAM, 20 Go disque, and that seems like plenty. Although admittedly I'm not federated with many communities, and mostly just play around with my instance as a toy (it's not this instance, ofc).
Oh sry, I just noticed you do host a few users actually. That's cool. Do the system requirements ramp up much?
