4k? My 3070 can't even get close to 60fps 4k on most games

It's 4k compatible, probably not 4K native. Maybe zome games like Zelda will use Nvidia upscalling.

Probably this. TV does this all the time. There is not much actually filmed in UHD/12G, except maybe Premier League, F1 and other major sporting events.

the games will still run at 1080p, or 720p but be upscaled to 4k using dlss, xess, or fsr
