For me it's easier to connect with the things that affect you, I've a heap of Tibetan friends. I've been going to free Tibet protests all my life. My Iraqi neighbour kept a pretty neutral position on USA, he was glad to be in Australia and said that there were a lot of problems in the area from many fronts.
