Exactly, I hate him for who he is and most of what he does but the $100million USD contest to sequester carbon permanently is a fantastic thing to sponsor as we must remove carbon from the cycle and not just store it in trees.
And my point is proven. You literally said you hate him but you still got downvoted cuz you mentioned some good about him. I'm serious! This is a helluva echo chamber. They literally downvoted you for not hating him hard enough. It's comical!
The sad part is I bet most who downvoted me don't understand how critically important carbon sequestering is. We can'tjust plant trees. We need to permanently remove all of the carbon from the cycle that has been introduced since industrialization began.
I haven't looked into it deeply so I don't really know how important it is but I know one thing: Lemmy people would rather see double the CO2 than admit Elon has positive aspects.
