The US are the only suckers on earth who still have to pay their insurance after they've met their deductible. Why y'all allow this (collectively) to happen is beyond me.
This is like asking why the women of Afghanistan don’t just stand up to the repressive Taliban regime. We’re under a repressive regime, just a very different flavor or repression.
I mean, if you want to compare the most powerful, rich, and developed nation on earth to a totalitarian Afghanistan, that's cool with me,
Just because it's powerful, rich, and developed does not preclude it also being repressive.
