But also like, I don't think you can petrify a corpse. Did they carve at his face to make that skull? Which is way gruesome still, and also would make it less likely to be able to put it back together.

Yeah that's a good point. I don't think you can kill a statue. I wonder if they petrified him and then killed him. I also wonder when the last time he was seen. Like does anyone alive remember him.
