It's intentionally misleading to only talk about the first six when there are forty-nine thousand, nine-hundred and ninty four more rooms each with twenty alive kids, when you're making allegations of genocidal and tent and war crimes.

You really don't see that?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 months ago (1 children)

No I don't see it. I didn't realise there was an acceptable number of children per capita to shoot and kill.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Really? I'm surprised you didn't know that. I remember my first war.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Well given your apparent wealth of experience maybe you can help the rest of us out. How many kids is it acceptable to shoot before we're allowed to count them?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 months ago (1 children)

I wouldn't float a guess. That's a decision for democratically elected governments to make.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Well, I only asked because you seemed to have an opinion on that before. Glad to see you distancing yourself from the implications of your comment though, it really is the only palatable move once you've put yourself in that corner isn't it

The corner of acknowledging the realities warfare and governance by having been well read and traveled?

I get it. It's your first war. It will always feel special.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 2 months ago (1 children)

No no no, you didn't "acknowledge the realities of warfare and governance (governance, wtf?)". Your position was that it's dishonest to point out the number of children shot and killed by the IDF because they still have plenty of spare ones anyway. I honestly can't believe I'm not even strawmaning you with this and that is a real thing that someone who's apparently a human being genuinely thinks.

For what it's worth, I do remember my first war. I had no problem going out on the street and protesting the immoral actions of my own government. I certainly never told anyone not to complain about children being shot and killed. No amount of reading or travelling will make me stoop so low and you're simply lying to yourself if you think it's because you're smarter than everyone else that you're cool with the murder of children.

You know what is a first for me though, seeing someone being such a condescending prick about others having a problem with children being shot and killed. Hopefully it's also a last but I somehow doubt it.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 2 months ago (1 children)

That's you making up that I am cool with children getting murder. You are straw manning. If my argument is so bad why do you need to put up a straw man? And call me names?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Well you certainly don't seem to be particularly bothered by it, let's put it that way. And you can accuse me of strawmaning if you want but your position was that it is dishonest to point out the number of children killed because there are still lots more children that haven't been killed yet. Feel free to correct me, honestly I would love to be wrong about that.

And yeah I'm going to call you a condescending prick if you are going to pretend like you are somehow more well read and travelled than some stranger you know nothing about because they disagree with you. That's condescending prick behaviour which I will call out. If your argument is so good why is the only thing you can do in your defence pretend that you must be smarter than others?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 months ago (1 children)

You're still misrepresenting my position, strawmanning, and resorting to insults. You want me to be as emotional and indignant about this as you, regardless of how I actually feel about it, and I'm not, and that's got you all fired up at me. You're probably, sincerely, a really good person. At this point you'll forgive my condescension after two rounds of your flagrant misrepresentations and insults. You seem obviously immature or inexperienced, or both, to me, anyway. ✌️

[–] [email protected] 0 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago)

Well, I'd say you are a good person too but I really don't know anything about you. Other than you are very uncomfortable having your position read back to you and you think you are very smart. Maybe it's time to re-evaluate some of your self beliefs, it's ok to be wrong! Most people who claim to be smart to the point of using it as a defence of their position probably aren't that good at introspection but hopefully it's something you'll grow out of.

Or maybe I'm wrong and I just haven't travelled to enough countries yet to see it. If I have a sudden realisation next time I'm stepping off the plane I'll come back and let you know.
