At that distance we'd still have millions, if not billions, of years until it would actually be an issue.
I mean, we're on a collision course with Andromeda and several smaller galaxies and nobody is worrying about that.
I've been panic screaming aince I heard about when I was 11 and I'm still screaming at 43
That and our sun engulfing earth prior to the moon reaching equilibrium.
Thanks, now my son is screaming too
To be fair, the Milky Way is surrounded by a few remnants of smaller galaxies it previously collided with and absorbed.
