Comic Strips is a community for those who love comic stories.
The rules are simple:
- The post can be a single image, an image gallery, or a link to a specific comic hosted on another site (the author's website, for instance).
- The comic must be a complete story.
- If it is an external link, it must be to a specific story, not to the root of the site.
- You may post comics from others or your own.
- If you are posting a comic of your own, a maximum of one per week is allowed (I know, your comics are great, but this rule helps avoid spam).
- The comic can be in any language, but if it's not in English, OP must include an English translation in the post's 'body' field (note: you don't need to select a specific language when posting a comic).
- Politeness.
- Adult content is not allowed. This community aims to be fun for people of all ages.

A friend's mom once told me I had beautiful eyes, and I have thought about it ever since. That was 20 years ago. I think it's the only complimentary I've ever had on my physical appearance outside of immediate family. Compliments can feel super awkward to get sometimes, but they really are treasures.
I keep seeing this attitude all over the internet. Guys saying they never get compliments. What is going on??? I'm fat, ugly, and roll out of bed, brush my teeth, quick shower, and dress like a slob..........and then I go out into the world not giving a fuck. If I don't get compliments all day I assume I did something very wrong that day.
And the things they're complimenting is my "I don't give a fuck about corporate views" hair. I'm 40 years old. I have silver hair. It reaches my shoulders. I get it cut when it gets hot enough that it's uncomfortable. That's MY choice, and fuck everybody else. The general public LOVE me for it.
I get compliments on my hair, I get complements on my shoes. I get compliments on my hoodies. Or my hats. Or my wallet.
And then I see this mentality that "guys don't get compliments". And I'm like "Whahahahat???" Almost laughing as I say "what", in a confused buy amused conundrum. Why aren't you guys getting compliments??? Oh, it's because you're letting others dictate how you dress, how you act. How you come across to others.
Oh, gotta follow the social rules. I'll wear some khaki pants, and some button up dress shirt, and slim leather belt.
Then I come in and wreck shit up. Walk over to the bar, drink like half a dozen shots, and then it's off to the next bar on this bar crawl! And along the way, people see how outragious I look, and how bold yet simple I look, and people are just like "WTF??? THATS AWESOME!!!"
MEN!!!! All you gotta do to get compliments, on literally a daily basis, is stop giving a fuck. Most of my compliments are from other men. There's always this feeling in the air of "Wow, that's awesome!!! I wish my wife let me dress like that!"
WOMEN!!! I see you looking confused. The more free of you compliment me. The less free of you seem to be insulted by my existence. I DON'T GIVE A SHIT. Tomorrow I'm gonna have me some blueberry pancakes before I go to work. Then I'm gonna help the elderly, obese, and disabled, all day long. When I get home I'm gonna drink a bunch of beer, and watch some hockey (GO MONSTERS!!!). And your opinion don't mean shit.
Thats just life. Ignoring the shit, and helping the needy. Then getting drunk, watching sports, and dudes complimenting dudes. Sometimes ladies compliment dudes. You gotta keep a positive energy. Because thats all it is. I'm here to help everybody, we're gonna have a great day, and fuck the haters.
I generally don't give a fuck. Lol. I wear what's comfortable, and I don't go for any particular aesthetic. But also, I have received plenty of compliments about things like my clothes or shoes, I meant in my comment about my actual physical body. Outside of immediate family (oh You've lost weight, et cetera) or sexual partners who enjoy a particular thing, I believe that is the only compliment I've ever gotten about a particular physical feature of my body.
