What im attempting to describe which is data you can look yourself if you cared enough, google 5 minutes for the minimum spanish wage, price of rent in any 10k+ habitants town and the state of public transportation in rural spain and the average age of spanish cars
https://www.numbeo.com/cost-of-living/country_result.jsp?country=Spain 700€+ month for 1 bedroom outside of the cities
https://wageindicator.org/salary/minimum-wage/spain 1134€ month minimum salary with a 27% unemployment among young
https://www.acea.auto/figure/average-age-of-eu-vehicle-fleet-by-country/ 13.5 years the average age of spanish cars
You say im attempting to describe as if i was making up what i see on my country everyday and is shown by any data if you look for, your experience on the rural zone of a rich northern European country does not represent any country of the south like Portugal, Spain, Italy... So yeah, instead of saying stupid things like oil should be more expensive across all Europe maybe say that hopefully the states and the european union make EVs cheaper for the working class and invest in public transportation in rural areas more ;)
Sounds like a skill issue on Spain's part to me, since the rest of Europe is apparently doing way better.
I'm comparing the most comparable region of Europe to the US. You're comparing the least comparable region of Europe to the US. Lmao
Spain is not even one of the poorest countries of the EU, again you can look at data instead of your ass for once, and even if it was, it would still be stupid to say that oil should be made more expensive in the EU as a whole, there are poor people struggling as it is in any country of the EU.
Oil should be made obsolete. Everyone knows it, not everyone will admit it. And one efficient way to do that is by making it more expensive to use oil-based products. We have a climate and a planet in dire trouble, my friend. We need to find more alternatives, and EVs are a great alternative. But you coal-rollers can't seem to get past your lame-ass trucks and V6s. How ignorant.
I really love to see your mental gymnastics to not admit you are a right wing classist making stupids comments on the internet. I said it 3 times through the discussion already:
The way to leave oil in Europe is
Promoting public transportation in rural zones across all Europe, specially the south.
Making access to EVs cheaper for the working class.
Making oil prices artificially higher will just sink hundreds of thousands of poor families even further. If you think that the only way to save the planet is literally killing of starvation a few millions through Europe then have it your way.
The coal rollers part at the end is funny tho, like i said 10 times, i live in a city and i did not a car for the last four years already and no one from the hundreds of people i know uses a truck or a V6, in fact, i invite you again to look at data and tell me how many people uses a truck or a v6 in spain, even more in a rural zone.
Was it that hard to admit you are the ignorant? And you will have the balls to say you are progressive when you call a coal-roller with a truck to anyone that disagrees with the obvious lie that oil should be more expensive in Europe.
You keep saying that I think oil should be more expensive in Europe. Not once did I say that. Not once. I said gas should be more expensive in the US like in Europe to get off the oil dependency.
