Here’s The Gourds with a bluegrass take on Gin and Juice.
It’s a damn fine performance, but the funniest part was that back in the days of Napster & Limewire, everyone just assumed that it was Phish covering the song.
Okay, unironically have you heard of Gangstagrass? They did the theme for Justified, and I think they're based in Nashville, but they fuse bluegrass with hip-hop and goddamn does it sound amazing. It's like purely American I love it.

I’m a big fan of Justified & looked Ganstageass up back during the original run, but have failed to keep up with them. Will have to catch up!
There’s also “SlamGrass” out there as a genre. I’ve only had the chance to see O’ Death, but I really dig their tune, “Only Daughter”.
