Comic Strips is a community for those who love comic stories.
The rules are simple:
- The post can be a single image, an image gallery, or a link to a specific comic hosted on another site (the author's website, for instance).
- The comic must be a complete story.
- If it is an external link, it must be to a specific story, not to the root of the site.
- You may post comics from others or your own.
- If you are posting a comic of your own, a maximum of one per week is allowed (I know, your comics are great, but this rule helps avoid spam).
- The comic can be in any language, but if it's not in English, OP must include an English translation in the post's 'body' field (note: you don't need to select a specific language when posting a comic).
- Politeness.
- Adult content is not allowed. This community aims to be fun for people of all ages.

This is such a naive take. It's not us who decide to back candidate X over Y, give them all the media coverage, or millions of dollars in party donations. Biden and Clinton weren't picked by us to enter into the race for president.
Yes, it's your job to donate to and support good candidates at the local level. That's how democracy works. You have to participate.
Who is running in your local city council or mayoral race? Who is your state representative? If you don't have a preferred candidate, find one. You can literally swing those elections with a few thousand dollars and votes.
Who is talking about local races for city council or mayor?
This is about national politics and national elections. My city councilor isn't going to end support for a genocide, give us universal healthcare, or improve economic conditions for the majority of the nation.
They are, though. Local politics matters a hell of a lot more in your day to day life.
Local politicians determine whether a protest is allowed or is shut down.
Local politicians determine whether to create supportive institutions for Healthcare, or whether to shut them down.
Local politicians decide housing, taxes, how much the cops harass you, how many grocery stores are in your area, and how difficult it is to vote.
If you have no opinion on your local races, you're either SO uninformed you should recuse yourself from the democratic process, or you don't actually live in the US.
Shhh. Don't tell people they have to do anything besides complaining and occasionally protesting.
Protesting is fun. Voting for and supporting a candidate who loses an election is not.
