An abandoned community for the Philippines and all things Filipino! 🇵🇭
Started out as a Reddit alternative during the blackout from Jun 12-21, 2023 with over 1k members in just a few days. Fizzled faster than the "I Didn't Do It" kid after a month until it became the internet's Centralia in less than a year.

This is semi-correct. I still browse Reddit but I use the same account. I don't see the point of using another considering I don't post anyway and I admitted many times that I still go there, although admittedly posting IS tempting specifically if there's an interesting topic.
On that note, I only had one alternick ever in r/PH and that was filipin0truther. It was a gimmick account intended to confuse people because he would act like the typical "filipinotruther" but also contradict himself by posting Rappler sources and other random threads. Babaw lang ng kaligayahan ko laughing at the reactions ("Truther is a double agent???", "So okay lang ang Rappler kung pabor sa argument mo?") Hahahaha.
Eh, Poe's law is in effect. truther would absolutely use Rappler as a source if it helped his narrative. He also contradicted himself several times by not actually reading the article he was posting to attack Robredo or anyone associated with the opposition. So your satire may have actually been too accurate. truther is a dumbass and has no integrity after all.
EDIT: On another note, I just found out na mod na pala siya ng r/philippinesbad na subreddit. This is just more reason to dismiss that subreddit as nationalistic nonsense.
I'd say r/philippinesbad has legitimate gripes, but I agree the truther's recent inclusion to the mod team is questionable
