That is correct, but the first community was created was created during the peak of Lemmy users post Reddit exodus, we are now much less on Lemmy as a whole. [email protected] is still the most active movie community in the whole of Lemmy.
The media restriction might play a role, but I don't remember that many videos upload from the previous version. What was there though, is the discussion threads that we are discussing here. I opened a discussion on them this morning but got that thread removed (see below). That's a bit concerning to be honest.
Interesting to note: if you review the mod log, that's not the first time either. For some reason, a prior meta post three months ago was also removed, as well as an attempt at a discussion thread. Although oddly in both cases they were restored, but looking at them I don't see any explanations provided, and incidentally they were both from you, I think.
Edit: supposing a discussion doesn't help here, it may be wise to try to create another community for the same purpose but with clearer rules and moderation. 🤷♀️ Seems to be the natural way of things with the internet.
I'll give it a last try today, let's see how it goes
