This was a pretty interesting video on the progression of world records on NES Tetris and the code that creates the kill screen.

He is not, he's just young.

I think they mean it's the first time a player has reached a kill screen, not that it was his first time playing the game

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's what they meant as well, but the phrasing is not the best lol
