look I'm all for sticking it to the Man and stealing if you're actually starving but a lot of you people are just Petty thieves
The grocery stores are as well when there's record inflation and people struggling and they are all posting record profits.
How do you find that out?
They fucking brag about it on their earnings calls.
Thanks. I was hoping there was some way to verify that.
Different industry but same behavior: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=syugb2Q9erY
They are all pretty thoroughly shameless.
"On Tuesday, Conagra Brands—one of the largest consumer packaged goods companies in the U.S.—announced that it had posted a nearly 60% year-over-year profit increase between December 2022 and February 2023."

I just googled grocery profits

If you bothered to read the article, you would know that it doesn't claim that companies are posting record profits.
what about sticking it to the man because fuck him
Correct. Still not sorry.
I always keep in mind the old adage, if you saw someone stealing food, no you didn't.
I agree if I was starving I would steal too but a lot of the comments in this thread are talking about stealing things that are just expensive because they're expensive
Thanks for the heads up. That day, I did not have time or motivation to read the entire thread.
Most businesses are too, so why should we be the bigger man?
If they can't handle Capitalism, which includes theft, they should try to change it.
most businesses are not thieves that is such a silly way to look at the world. now if you're talking about large corporations in large enterprises I would be a little bit more understanding of your statement. when you're talking small and medium and even large size businesses it's hardly the case.
Wage theft is significantly more common than petty theft and occurs because the victims often don't have the ability to fight back.
I see where you're coming from but you can't deny that these corporations don't prey on the very people they employ.
I just said that
