I guess I misread that and thought you meant stop motion.

Either way, I looked it up and it's not MoCap. The animators just intentionally modeled the faces and mannerisms of the fish to the actors.

That lists Matthew Broderick as Oscar... Pretty sure that was Will Smith...

Also, never thought I'd get into an online argument over Shark Tale. This has been fun

I like to think of them less like arguments and more like aggressive sharing of information.

And fair. I really only skimmed the article where it said all the main actors names and motion capture.

Though I still feel like some mocap was used since mocap has been around since the 90's
