Lovecraft Mythos - Cosmic Horror

This is the first half of the Lovecraftian/Cosmic Horror script that covers an intro to the genre, a bit about H.P. Lovecraft himself, his writing, a discussion on adapting his works to the screen, and of course going over all of the film adaptations of his work (that I could manage to get my hands on), and then ends with a short segment on short films both adapting lovecraft, and original lovecraftian works.

I began reading Lovecraft and creating artwork based on his writings in high school. His stories have inspired me visually throughout my life and, particularly when the weather turns dismal or stormy, I find myself seeking out new fiction based on his work or reading again a favorite piece. Fortunately for me quite a few of the pieces that were painted solely for my own pleasure have been published.

Of course, our state is home to the fictional Miskatonic River and the town of Arkham, which was appropriated by DC Comics as home of the asylum that housed the Joker, reaching a whole new level in popular culture. • Aurora Blue – A band of U.S. Treasury agents raid an illegal whiskey distillery hidden in Alaska’s Chugach Mountains. The sun is setting… and that’s when the really bad things come out to play.

It had to happen someday! Elvira accepts the Collect Call of Cthulhu and finds herself on a comical quest for the last copy of the Necronomicon with the ghost of H.P. Lovecraft. Will she be able to tolerate the obnoxious author long enough to save the world from the Great Old Ones?
