I've been having an itch for Disco Elysium recently, but this time I was also wondering: what did other people think of it?

Was there any Youtube or possibly streamed playthrough you enjoyed watching? Did any communist theoryhead play the game for an audience? Any unique points of view?

This game is pretty cool, the demo is free on Steam and it's a good afternoon of content. Lots of interesting ideas that I haven't seen before in factory games.

If you like Factorio, Dyson Sphere Program, or Satisfactory, I'd recommend you check it out! I'm a playtester and have played with some of the features that are coming in the early access launch, they're very cool and it looks like the devs are pretty active.

I love this game. It has completely enthralled me. Since starting a couple years ago I have probably thousands of hours sunk into this 8-person DDR MMO. The story is one of the best of any FF game, too. I just started getting into Endwalker EX fights & Savage raiding and it’s a blast. Let’s get a ~~polycule~~ cadre going or something!

Yes, it's over literally nothing. Yes, gamers are harassing people.

Certain recent events in the emulation space reminded me to emulate some more Switch games, so I got the Crash Team Racing remake since Activision never bothered to bring the game out on PC. Honestly it probably worked out better this way since I could get all the DLC and Season Pass shit unlocked for free shrug-outta-hecks

Me and my friends wanted to play CTR online after we found out both Ryujinx and Yuzu had online multiplayer, but since they work by spoofing the Switch's wireless LAN connectivity and Activision couldn't be bothered to make a LAN mode for CTR:NF, we just downloaded Mario Kart instead.

After playing most of the tracks in single player to get my shader cache built for multiplayer and some test runs online, I have to say I kinda prefer Mario Kart's mechanics over CTR:NF's, and this is coming from someone who grew up playing the original CTR and never had Nintendo consoles.

I always found the timing of CTR's drifting and boost mechanics kind of finicky and annoying but in Mario Kart you literally just hold the drift button down to build boost and it feels really easy but satisfying to pull off. It also feels like the game is gently but firmly guiding you along even when you turn off all of the assistance features and that you'd have to be deliberately trying to get completely left behind. In comparison I find myself awkwardly reversing out of walls and corners in CTR:NF fairly often, usually after fucking up a powerslide boohoo

Do you like roleplaying? Do you like space? Do you like furries?

I have the best game for you SS13/14.

The game takes place on a space station and you, a crewmember, must do your job. Be it cleaning the floors as a janitor, fixing the station as an engineer, ordering supplies as a cargo technician, etc...

Mind you this takes place on a fully staffed spacestation. So you and sometimes up to 100 people are managing and upkeeping a spacestation.

Some examples of what can happen

  • A perfectly calm shift where you meet and interact with a lot of new people while enjoying your job
  • A space dragon invades and sends space carps through portals to destroy the station. You and your fellow crew must work together to eliminate the threat.
  • A revolution! You and your fellow comrades are sick of the treatment from centcomm and revolt. Attempting to kill all of the commanding officers aboard.
  • You become a security officer/fascist. And arrest the station clown for being funny without a license

This game has so many features and is hard to explain. Imagine an actual roleplaying game. That's what this is. A shift can either stall into boredom or be the most fun you've ever had in a game depending on your interactions with other people.

This is my favorite game of all time and I seriously recommend it. SS13 is the original version of the game and has pretty much an infinite amount of content. But its old and aging. I've had so much fun over the years on this version but I've since moved on to the newer implementation.

SS14 is a work in progress remake of the original with a custom engine and modern development practices. My favorite key feature LESS RACISM. Some of 13's most popular servers come from 4chan so.... I recommend 14 to most. It's much more user friendly, is available on steam and in my opinion has much more of a future. It also actually works on linux

SS13

ss14

please try them out. They are free

But what I'm really upset about is that people aren't communicating and cooperating and being respectful of each other and working together and being social and pushing back the alienation and playing and finding joy.

I'm so fucking isolated these days. This is the closest thing that I have to a social outlet. And so many people in multiplayer games just have no interest in communicating or working together, or have no interest in, like... playing in a way that supports the team and works towards a cooperative goal? Like they're playing by themselves, in a multiplayer lobby, and I absolutely do not understand it and I hate it. I don't understand why people play multiplayer games when they don't wan to play with people.

Be it about the game's plot and characters, the mechanics, or what to do if I get stuck - anyone got anything I should know? Only played P4G before. Got about 60 hours into that one, but uninstalled when I had to lose all my gear (hate that mechanic)

The cool thing about UOAlive is that the cash shop is free and you can earn points just by being afk in game in the community center.
