Will this fight be included in this season? I am hyped already.

I was really skeptical when they hyped battle scenes because well, it's not a strong point of this manga, but damn I'm happy to be wrong. Dragon fight absolutely slaps.

Also, how how could they have dropped this panel when they decided what to animate for the "investigation"? We've seen ten hobos interrogated, but the only bunnygirl in the entire manga got cut. Madness:

All three manage to be somehow lame and badass at the same time. Stark in special - he's afraid, he said that he'd potentially run away, but he felled a fucking dragon on his own!

I didn't want to even blink during the fight it was so good. Fern was frustrated with slow life of Frieren but coudn't complain to her teacher. Happily for her Stark brings hope in her life and is a human being with human lifespan.

It's been a while since I read this portion of the manga and had completely forgotten about Fern's recounting of her first experience fighting a monster. This explains the comments Frieren made last episode to Fern about it that I had misinterpreted.

I love that they are keeping a slow pace and incorporating montages like when Stark and Fern are looking for a way through the checkpoint. It helps show the passage of time and how Stark/Fern deal with that differently than Frieren does.

As always, the ED is great, probably my favorite of any of the series I am watching this season.

Another great episode, I'm glad we finally have Stark onboard. I love the various little moments between him and Fern, like the look she was giving him when he was acting like a scoundrel. And the dragon fight was great, I wasn't expecting the animation to go that hard but I'm so glad it did.

Adding Stark to the cast really balances things out. It used to be that Fern was following behind Frieren, so would never be able to hasten their adventure, but now Stark, who also has a human perception of time, can help her pull Frieren ahead. Even if it means Frieren has less time to study magic, it would be nice if she got to see Eisen once more.

It would also be nice if Stark could see Eisen and show him how good a warrior he became.

For his first fight he killed a dragon!
