Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.
Example:
- Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
- Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
- No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
- Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
- No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

Of course, also shame on the Democrats who voted to censure him
Shame the Democrats that didn't walk out in solidarity.
Damn right. He shouldn't. Don't forget about these scabs
Ed Case of Hawaii
Tom Suozzi of New York
Jim Costa of California
Marie Gluesenkamp Perez of Washington
Jared Moskowitz of Florida
Ami Bera of California
Chrissy Houlahan of Pennsylvania
Marcy Kaptur of Ohio
Laura Gillen of New York
Jim Himes of Connecticut
I live in Jim Costa's district. I've been calling every day to let them know they should be ashamed. Thinking I can work remote a couple of hours outside his office next week, what should be on my sign?
Make an auction paddle that says "You're useless."
Well, there’s little chance he’ll feel any shame, so there’s no point in working that angle. How about a “Clippy” approach:
- “We notice you’re working to dismantle the US government. Are you sure your voters support you in this?”.
…or… - “We notice you’re working to dismantle the US government. Who the f**k thought that was a good idea?”
NYC Democrats truly are a breed of their own. Fuck em.
Except nobody on this list represents nyc
No just literally the next district over. My bad. 😐
Green protested proposed Medicaid cuts, warning “people will suffer and die” if the program is cut.
If mainstream media gave a shit this is what they would have been saying the whole time.
American taxpayers will suffer and die because of this.
Don't even try to explain the numbers to conservatives, just make it clear that if it resulted in them getting more money somehow, it would be literal blood money.
But once you start that argument, it applies to all of America's healthcare system, and mainstream media wants to (at best) maintain the status quo.
So instead they treat it as a math problem and ignore the human suffering
Don't even try to explain the numbers to conservatives, just make it clear that if it resulted in them getting more money somehow, it would be literal blood money.
One issue with this is, Conservatives don’t care about random people dying - they’ve been conditioned by right-wing media into believing those people who die deserved it, or that it’s just a deep-state conspiracy with crisis actors.
They will only ever change their stance (and even then, only temporarily) when it happens to a friend or family member.
Appealing to their better nature is a fool’s errand.
My only regret is that we didn't have another assault with a cane on the floor of the House.
Al should beat his ass next time.
How the hell did he nearly kill him before someone intervened? Was that room full of spineless cowards or something?
Was that room full of spineless cowards or something?
Congresspeople, so yes that kinda goes without saying.
I don’t remember if it was a general session, but the floor often remains pretty empty during caucusing, which is most of the time.
Thats kinda the opposite situation
Yeah most people don’t remember the context of the sumner-brooks affair, just the beating
Otis Redding did nothing wrong
Wait. What was his name?
I believe it was Marvin Gaye
Sam Cooke - A Change is Gonna Come
