I told you this the entire campaign. But America cares more about trans people than their own interest.
It sucks being right about all this because going "I told you this would happen" during the worst crisis America has faced since the civil war just makes us look petty and a dick.
I tried warning people about this. I wanted Trump in jail. I wanted Biden to push for large reforms to make people turn away from Trump's lies about how he will personally fix the economy. I wanted the court packed into overturning every bad choice they made in the last 20 years.
And I was called defeatist and pessimistic. "It takes time to arrest someone for a crime they committed." "Bringing that issue up would be political suicide."
And now we're stuck with Trump.
"I mean, did you see that trans athlete in some state I've never even been to, and have no plans on visiting?! That has serious impact to my life!!! We must elect Strong Leader to fix this, stat!" <- just about every qon idiot
Democrats and Republicans set him up to do it. No balanced budget, meaning we don't spend more then is taxed, no line item budget with expenditures that is easily digestible to the public that shows real information like how much corporations are actually paying in total for taxes, with tax cuts, refunds, subsidies, you need to cruise their own financials to find out how much the fed is propping up corporations. All we get is massive trillions of dollars budget consolidations. They owe the citizens services like roads, libraries, affordable housing, because of the damn taxes we pay, hell we could likely even afford free college and hand outs to third world countries if that was all. But we are paying massive subsidies, and buying products at egregious markups, not to mention the damned bailouts to banks and wallstreet, if these bastards don't pay taxes how the hell they giving them MY money when they get bailed out! because "we under employ hundreds of thousands, if we cowwapse all those people can't pay their taxes and evewyting cowwapses, so bailout pwease". Or because someone is a friend with someone so they got the government contract instead of someone that might be capable of doing an amazing job, but doesn't have name recognition. NO DAMNIT!!! ENOUGH IS ENOUGH, IF THEY WONT PAY TAXES THEN WHAT THEY WANT THEY DON'T GET. No bailouts, no incentives for your fancy plastic devices, no discount for moving shipping here, move your shipping away and pay a tarrif equal to how much you are saving, and OUR tax dollars go to actually fix the country. I70 is a damn toll road, it costs you money to travel between states, like the physical act of passing over land has a cost associated, what the hell are my taxes paying for? Not quality education to make sure the poor dyslexic girl at McDonalds could get a good paying job ill tell you that. Best as I can tell the money I've ever paid in taxes is simply paying interest on bombs used to kill children. How can anyone defend this system, even if it is one of the top 100 systems around? You mean there are worse?!?!
Found the clip where some donvict supporter calls into C-Span, advocating to just ignore the Constitution under Donvict, because, well, that's what "the people" voted for.
Just crazy stuff. Why this hasn't gone viral, I don't know.

I was really surprised at first that it was a woman, but then it became pretty clear that she was an old, white woman, and then it at least made more sense. She's (presently) unaffected by any of the bullshit that is being thrust upon women of child-bearing age, the persons of color, the non-binary folk, the young people hurt most by skyrocketing housing costs, etc; and she's thoroughly unapologetic about her lack of empathy for any of those groups of her fellow Americans. Goddamn, what a bummer.
EDIT: Then I made the mistake of continuing to listen, and ~~half or more~~ all of the callers for the next 20 minutes are brainwashed boomers ranting about how Biden was the devil and Trump is going to save us from the illegal immigrants who are ruining all of our lives. Yeesh.
I was listening to a podcast (Professional Left) and they played a clip of some caller who was saying the country voted for donvict because they wanted him to ignore the Constitution in order to deal with the emergency (I think she was talking about the border) and then "hopefully" he'd restore it afterwards.
JFC, these people are so very fucking stupid. I know, I know, Yahweh forbid we blame the fucking stupid voters that voted for this shit. Obviously this is all Biden and Kamala's fault.
These people should seriously read into German history...

I work in a college financial aid office, an one of my responsibilities is outreach to former students whose loans are in delinquent or default status. This is the only part of my job that makes me want to quit, but that's besides the point.
The number of people who rant about Biden forgiving random people's loans but not theirs, or forgiving student loans of celebrities and athletes (that's apparently a talking point for these people?) is staggering.
I like to remind them that 1) Biden did try to offer sweeping forgiveness of 10-20k, but he did not have the authority to do so on his own, so he acted with the authority he had, and 2) now Republicans have full control of the executive and legislative branches, so we can wait to benefit from their plan to help students. I get crickets on that last point.
It's basically the same group of idiots that thought Obama should've done more about 9/11.
He should have. Dude should have been born earlier, beaten George Bush when running for president in 2000, and been president to stop Osama. It's so clear now. Thank you... /s
Any advice on what to do about a TEACH grant that I served 3 of my 4 years ago before my state decided that trannies can’t be teachers? Did a “borrowers defense,” was told they’d maybe look into in a year lol

That's why the courts and the legacy media and the bulk of the political establishment have been at the very least enabling him - because what he's in fact doing, and has been doing since the beginning, is working for the explicit benefit of himself and his moneyed class cronies, to the detriment of everyone else.

I still think "class war" is the most accurate term for it though, and the fact that the working class isn't (yet) fighting it is just the biggest reason that the moneyed class is winning (so far).
