Summary

Climate "whiplash"—rapid shifts between extreme wet and dry conditions—is increasing exponentially due to global heating, according to a new analysis in Nature Reviews Earth and Environment.

Whiplash events, caused by a warmer atmosphere holding and releasing more water vapor, have risen 31%-66% since the mid-20th century and may more than double if warming reaches 3°C.

Such events exacerbate wildfires, floods, droughts, and public health crises.

Experts stress cutting emissions and redesigning infrastructure to adapt to intensifying climate volatility, especially in vulnerable regions like Africa, the Middle East, and South Asia.

So what? There's a trans kid playing basketball on my daughter's high school team. I've got bigger fish to fry.

And how are we supposed to fix this if the next generation is godless? We need to display the Ten Commandments in schools to protect our future.

The current plan appears to be meeting god as quickly as possible.

Well, Christianity started as a doomsday cult. So I guess old habits die hard.

Are you mad?! We can't possibly progress any further in resolving that issue untill those pictures of Hunter Biden's dick are released to the public!

Will worshipping Godless sinful billionaires score us some brownie points maybe?

You guys are finding fish?

The lake and streams by my house used have so many fish in the early summer that I’d reach in and grab them with my hands as a kid. That was only 20 years ago.

Now I’m lucky if I see a single fish on a hike.

The results of the bug-pocalypse are starting to show, and it’s going to be exponentially worse over the next few years.

And don't you dare try to escape it, you illegal immigrant! You will roast and you will die, and that's how it is. Don't you dare come and come here to replace our whiteness.

- some dumb nazi

Or alternatively: "Why can't those people just stay in their country that we are robbing and exploiting? We're giving them jerbs! And look at all the free clothes we send over to destroy their local retailers. We're just doing them a favor, they don't know how to run a business anyway."

Wait till they discover everyone is technically an immigrant from africa lol

It's far from over, but it's going to be increasingly harder to make a peaceful transition.

As someone who lived surrounded by ocean my entire life it's been painfully obvious for over a decade now. Really frustrating to see people only start believing it once it affects them despite literal mountains of evidence proving so.
