These game dev studios wouldn't be where they are if people really cared about all this. Every year people complain about these shady practices by these companies, and the same people will then go and buy these games.

Just like "Movember" where men donate to charity and don't shave for a month, we need to do something similar like not buying new games for a financial quarter and donate to open source game development.

I popped on the SNES with my Super Gameboy cartage for a visiting kid that's like 7 and he was amazed playing Super Mario World 2. It was a whole new game for him. I wish I could get a cheap working gameboy for kids today, the used market is scam now with the prices people are doing.
