Tip 1 - have parents who are on the same board as the CEO of IBM, and work out a plan to have Bill be the point man for acquiring an existing OS for a pittance, because if IBM tried to buy DOS86, it would've cost a fortune.

Tip 2 - at a time when computers are enormously expensive use your wealth to purchase one for your child and provide them extensive exposure to an emerging market out of reach to most people.

Not saying that he didnt have a headstart but turning what he had into 150Billion+all the money he donated is still impressive.

He also said that we had higher taxes in the past and he still didnt mind that and got a billionaire and suggested higher taxes for billionaires now.
