The dangerous, radical libby lib that Trump trusted with an important position.

Harris matched the worst VP pick in modern political history with this absolute beast. Walz checks boxes no one even knew needed checking. And in spite of appearances, he’s only 60. He can 100% take the mantle in 8 years.

Shapiro would have been the classic Dem pick. Lawyer, born politician, a pray for delivering an important swing state. Kelly would have been the "smart" choice - balances the ticket, cheap voter appeal, hard to question as a both combat decorated Navy captain and an astronaut.

But she went balls to the Walz, and you got to respect it. It's definitely a fearless all-in move. I hope they really capitalise on it. With the weird-rhetoric seemingly biting, Walz really is a perfect trump card to flood your side with sheer normalcy. I hope they use his backlog of social media stuff to full effect because the amount of friendly neighbour dad energy on display will take the wind out of the sails of any "no, you're weird" coming from Vance.

It's also a perfect invalidation of the coastal elites claim, and while the progressives-accusation is open, Walz has already proven great at answering it. "Oh no, he's feeding our children, what a monster!"

I love his quote on the culture wars to the effect that in Minnesota people may not make the same life choices as their neighbors, but they know how to be decent people and mind their own damn business.

Walz has a touch of Benjamin Franklin in him minus the love for the French prostitutes.

Yeah, he prefers Dutch sex workers. Better working conditions due to legal protections.

Kidding aside, I'm as skeptical and often critical of the Dem leadership as the next guy, if not more, and I'm super pumped for Walz!

He is exactly the partner Harris needed to really dominate the narrative and unlike anyone on the presidential ticket since CARTER, he has a proven track record of progressive policy and of listening to and respecting the Left even when he disagrees.

I wish he and Harris would swap places on the ticket, but who knows? Maybe he's what's going to help the Kama Chameleon settle on a coherent and progressive ideology and carry it out in policy and bully pulpit advocacy rather than just pretty speeches. Her VP pick is definitely a great start towards that goal!

It's pointless to try to use his words to define him. Lies and truth are the same thing to him. Also underwear and diapers are the same thing to him. Also his daughter and a sexual object are the same thing to him. Also

Read that as "Minnesota Guy".

As an Aussie, so happy for you guys and the Dem selection.

Your politics (good and bad) often flows down to Australia.

And unfortunately, so much of that politics at the moment is the stupid stuff like "Induction stoves are like sticking your head in a microwave", constant lies about heatpump AC and water heaters. Also, constant nonsense about the climate and lefties being weak or whatever (which is particularly insane, because woman and the LGBTIQ are actually overrepesented in the number of badasses I know, by a long shot).

And, I'm even more tired of the echo chamber they try to create, where they believe science is dictated by upvotes.

What I find impressive, is that Walz and Harris both seem genuinely interested in helping people, and I'm really hoping their personalities flows back down to Australia.

Oh he even was happy with Harris that he donated $5,000.
