But I remember seeing that group being blacklisted and called out in multiple Piracy communities and wikis a few years ago.

What happened? Are they good now?

Back in 2019 some releases installed directly from IGG-GAMES contained crypto miners. They also added their own DRM to releases. Since then I have stayed away and never looked back.

Shame, because there have been some times that igg is the only group with a specific release.

I know I've seen that on 1337x and was absolutely disappointed. Don't remember what I was looking for, but definitely a shame.

didn't 1337x have a cryptominer that wasn't removed by the moderators last year?

Haven't noticed anything from them. I heard rumors but never saw any proof (reliable).

Looks like this happened 5+ years ago... Did someone in the group go rogue and they were removed? I'll have to look up the piracy games sub reddit when I can get to my computer but at this point it seems to be a nothing burger if it happened so long ago

I like to go by the saying "Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me".

For me, when the trust is gone, it's gone. But if there is a time limit for you. For example 5+ years. You do you. It's your computer. I remember it when it was fresh on the Reddit sub.

1 time is enough for me.

Both 1337 and TG are some of the worst places to get your torrents from. They themselves are about as trust worthy as Trump on a quaalude.

Private trackers are the safest. A public one will always be sketch. But if you want a public one, give therarbg.com a try.

LOL. Oh no some random dude made a list a long time ago. Oh no. A clone of what? Because rarbg was shutdown a while ago. Maybe think for yourself.

Also, the site looks nothing like the original rarbg, so I guess they failed there to. It’s another website linking to torrents, nothing more. I’ve not seen a single thing suss about it and I’ve been using it for months.

i was told 1337x refused to take down torrents that contained crypto miners, which is why it's not a truly trusted source anymore. it should be fine for video and music, but I'm not downloading video games or anything that might contain an executable.
