The notion that free* healthcare, free* education, subsidised transport, government provided unemployment supports etc is even labelled β€œsocialist” strikes me as particularly American.

I'm going to stick in the US until they seem about to start trans genocide on a national level, then I'm moving to the socialist country with the best lgbt rights at the time (My bet is on Vietnam, maybe China though who knows) (besides Cuba but theyre not taking US refugees)

I'm more useful here but I also don't want to die.

I'm not sure those are necessarily the best countries... China seems a lot like the early 2000s US on the issue https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/LGBT_rights_in_China

There are literally child trans Healthcare clinics in tier 1 cities now. Regardless, Vietnam and especially Cuba are much better, Cuba being the leading country for lgbt rights in the world, and there isn't a push to kill trans people in any of the countries.

A country having socialist policies would not be a primary reason. It would be whether this hypothetical country's socialist policies translate to a better life for myself and my family.
