Weak. You can easily jam IR by holding a button on another remote. No need to stand there with your hand over it.

Ha, our remote control has Bluetooth. You can even go into another room and tap - the TV recognizes it. The only thing that is sent via IR is on/off.
But then the Bluetooth remotes attacked and everything changed...
I still remember when you could like bounce it off a mirror around someone trying to block you
Soon nobody will understand this.

We had to get up and turn the knob.
We'd just pull that knob off and hide it
My dad would throw on football then put painters tape over the IR receiver on the TV so my mom wouldn't come by and change the channel.
everything is worse now thanks to kids having YouTube on the tv
