I still listen to it all the time via podcast. Grew up on that show, still laugh my ass off.
I just wish the podcast version wasn't cut down. They cut out a couple calls and the interstitial music.
Oh yea, you are right. I completely forgot about the random short car songs they used to have. Some were funny and or good but I think I can definitely do without.

If you pick one at random, I'd say it's about 50/50 of finding a racist.

I miss Car Talk when I hear the guys randomly, most recently on eBay auto commercials.
Unfortunately, you're only hearing one of them.
Tom died in 2014 of Alzheimer's, 2 years after they retired from the show.
I guess he really did have trouble remembering last week's puzzler.

NPR releases three episodes a week in their podcast. They're only in like 1993 right now so it'll be a while before they catch up.

I don’t know the context here, but my college roommate used to listen to Car Talk and I hated it. He hated when I watched Star Trek though, so we both just sucked it up and dealt with it like adults.
