No one's missing much, I've eaten frog twice, once in the US and once in France.
it lacks much flavor and is somewhat like chicken in that department, but the meat has a weird greasy, slimey, oily texture thing to it that really puts me off.
That being said, if you get the opportunity to try alligator, treat yo' self. Fried alligator bites > chicken wings.
Alligator is really underrated, absolutely delicious.
Really?? I tried it twice in FL.. one touristy place, one locals place. Both times I hated the texture. Tough.
