"Leftist" has come to mean Antisemite, so I couldn't give a single fuck how many placed you're deplatformed from, maybe "Leftist" always meant antisemite, as a member of the Democratic Party whose voted straight ticket Democrat my entire life, I always considered myself on the Left, as social justice, and basic human decency were paramount in my personal politics, though seeing how most Jew killing Muslim terrorist supporters hail from the Left, it's got me reconsidering my personal politics due to simple self preservation. I'm not ready to give my vote to the dark side, but there's only so much "we don't care about Jews" this Jew can take
Being against the actions of the Israeli government doesn’t make one an antisemite.
Being against the ongoing genocide of Palestinians doesn’t make one pro terrorism.
If the US response to this conflict is making you into a republican, you are not paying attention.
Many people expressing support for Palestine and warning about genocide in Gaza are using talking points created by Hamas that call for the elimination of the state of Israel.
Calling for the elimination of the state of Israel is not antisemitic. It's a colonial enclave kept in existence by ongoing violence funded by the US.
There's nothing colonial about Israel. If anything, it is a reclamation of a displaced people of its original land. It has attempted repeatedly to compromise with the Palestinians, but nothing short of genocide against it appeals to them. They have outright rejected all attempts at political compromise, even though Israel was originally under no obligation to compromise with them.
Sure, think of it this way though. Someone comes into your country, and says this half is mine, and kicks out the entire population living there. That builds resentment. No way around it.
Israel didn't kick the Arabs out, Britain did.
Jews are the original inhabitants of the Land of Israel. A more correct analogy would be a bunch of Aztecs walking into Mexico City, being granted a small part of it by Mexico, and then Mexico forcibly evicting all non-Aztecs from that area.
More like the Aztecs forcibly removing all non-aztecs from all of Mexico, except for a few second class citizens.
