It's interesting that they keep harping on "when upgrading from an Intel-based Mac". I guess their data shows that a lot of users are still on Intel chips. Or maybe it just makes a better comparison?
I’m so on an old Intel MacBook Pro. Getting 16 GB RAM (which back then was more of an unusual investment) really has helped the machine stay quite workable.
The only problematic part of the laptops age is that Apple no longer supports it with OS upgrades 🤷.
@maegul @sosodev I had a similar MacBook Pro setup. When Apple quit supporting OS upgrades for it, I was able to install Linux on it and it screams!
