A nice place to discuss rumors, happenings, innovations, and challenges in the technology sphere. We also welcome discussions on the intersections of technology and society. If it’s technological news or discussion of technology, it probably belongs here.

Remember the overriding ethos on Beehaw: Be(e) Nice. Each user you encounter here is a person, and should be treated with kindness (even if they’re wrong, or use a Linux distro you don’t like). Personal attacks will not be tolerated.

So how are they going to detect, proof, and enforce?

Probably by taking down the companies doing it rather than the people using them. Just set up an account and ask around for where to buy some likes.

Does that counts as emtrapment?

Entrapment is enticing someone to do something they wouldn't do otherwise.

If you ask someone where to buy drugs, and they give you the name of their dealer, you're not entrapping the dealer since they normally sell drugs.
