I'd love to read some non-Western sci-fi! I read a Soviet short story once that was decent, bar the required political messaging.
Do you have the name in mind, by chance. Re: political message: I publish all kind of writers, from the left to the right, so it doesn't matter
Oh I think politics are often an important part of sci-fi stories, but this was something like "Venus is great, but it's not as great as the people's glorious Socialist Utopia, where the workers rule and those imperialist pig dogs in the west have no power to corrupt us!" whose inclusion felt like it was mandated by a Kommisar. I don't recall and can't find the story I am thinking of, sorry.
