That’s an interesting phrase, “getting account linking took a Herculean effort”, so they had ulterior motives in what they were doing? Thats a bad look.

Arrowhead knew exactly what they were doing with the lack of communication and with everything else they’ve done. This was planned.

Sounds like it was poorly phrased and they meant dealing with the repercussions of account linking took a massive effort.

That’s the thing though, what effort?

It was part of their contract from day 1, they did as little as possible to deal with it from their end when their servers went down and Sony let them pause it.

The splash screen should have provided more details about the mandatory requirements, they knew what they were doing by being vague and not upfront about anything.
