An abandoned community for the Philippines and all things Filipino! ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ญ

Started out as a Reddit alternative during the blackout from Jun 12-21, 2023 with over 1k members in just a few days. Fizzled faster than the "I Didn't Do It" kid after a month until it became the internet's Centralia in less than a year.

Long-Haired Men, Where Do You Get Your Haircut?

It's my first time growing out my hair (almost shoulder length), and I wanted to know where I can get the most value out of my money.

I imagine barber shops won't be able to handle hair this long?

Preferably near Ortigas or BGC area.

The two times I grew my hair long during the pandemic (both shoulder length), I went to a barber shop to have it chopped off to the standard pompadour level.

If you want it trimmed, you're probably better off going to a professional stylist. I've seen way too many horror stories about mainstream hair places fucking up the hair of men that just want it to look like Jared Leto/John Wick, lol.

^this. I also go to a professional stylist (though i'm not near Ortigas/BGC so I can't give a recommendation there)

Creations in Makati used to be good because the owner (Lourd Ramos) would be the one cutting your hair. Idk if they're still around and if it's still the same operation. Nag-expand na kasi sila and naturally the quality goes down when they do.
