I've loved Beth Gibbons' singing style? voice? ever since listening to Dummy many years ago. I recently found out she has a solo album coming out next month. I've not listened to any of her solo work before, she only has one other solo album from over 20 years ago from what I can tell. I don't think it's trip hop, but I'm going to try give it a listen soon.

I finished Alastair Reynold’s Pushing Ice a few months ago and it’s kind of close to what OP is looking for. Also a really good book!

Jared Harris. He was also great in the first series of The Terror. I haven't seen season 2 of Foundation yet but felt his talents were a little wasted in the first season. Season 1 was definitely carried by Lee Pace and the emperor's storyline.

I loved the Raised By Wolves intro, the music was beautiful. The show was very love it or hate it and has sadly been cancelled :(
