whenever i try to open images via dolphin or within any image viewer my CPU usage skyroofs! is this a bug or there is a setting maybe to avoid this?

Hi, i have been using KDE (now on KDE Neon)for a while as my daily driver and have been wanting to improve the email/calendar situation.

I have seen Merkuro releases and announcements, but no instructions on how to install it!

Please help - how do i use Merkuro!?!? is there a flatpak or repo somewhere.

Kross was a scripting framework dropped in KDE Frameworks 6 with no announcement that I could find. I'm trying to find a reason to add to Wikipedia.

Calligra is the office and graphics suite developed by KDE and is the successor to KOffice. Hi all, I have a desktop and laptop with a touchscreen. Both running Plasma/Wayland. English is my second language and I search things in my language often. Maliit works just fine on the laptop, but it's basically a dud on the desktop. I can only enable and disable it. It never shows nor work at all on the desktop. Tried onboard, gnomes on screen keyboard, and that thing is useless, too. Anyway to make Maliit work or is there an alternative? I really need it for the desktop. Thanks.

STK is the main reason I started to draw Konqi, so uhh, this was the first drawing, with Katie featuring as Cheerleader.

What's everyones opinion of the two? I enjoy KDE Plasma and want to use an Ubuntu based system but don't have any experience with these two distros.

Last week in #Hannover, #KDEEco joined Akademie der Spiele, an event for 200+ students with 20+ career/cultural workshops.

Students salvaged dozens of computers with #OpenSource #FreeSoftware.

They learned about the #environmental costs of #eWaste and device production.

They presented their work to peers and teachers!

Some even played games🚀

We're proud of our students - congrats for all you achieved in only 5 days!

I'm not sure if this is related to Night Light (which I don't have enabled) or even just the monitors dimming in power settings, but I constantly have to go and bring my brightness back up from 20% when I sit down at my computer in the AM.

I have disabled Sleep as well, and the only thing left is the regular Energy Saving features of dimming after X minutes and Turn Off Monitors after X minutes, but I've set both of those to short timeouts and when it comes back, it's at 100%.

Edit: For some reason I was on X11. I've switched to Wayland and will see if that changes anything.

Any ideas what's causing this?
